Curriculum for Excellence 3-18

Curriculum for Excellence aims to meet the learning needs of all 3-18 year olds.  It aims to support children and young people to develop skills they need to achieve more independence in their life. As part of Curriculum for Excellence, all children from pre-school to the end of S3 will receive a rounded education known as a Broad General Education (BGE).  In Kirkriggs Primary School we aim to provide a curriculum that aims to meet each individual child’s needs through play and active learning and quiet work time.

There are many opportunities within the week to learn outwith school were the children can experience fun and learning opportunities across Glasgow. We have an integrated approach to the curriculum through interdisciplinary learning and new topics are taught each year. Learning for each individual child is planned by the class teachers.
